Alfta Camping

Alfta Camping is the cozy campsite located right on the banks of the river Voxnan. The campsite is just a few minutes walk from shops and all other necessary services!

This is a summer campsite that is open from June to the end of August, when summer is at its best in the area. This scenic campsite offers everything you could possibly need to have an enjoyable summer. Swimming areas, a playground for the little ones, a volleyball court, fine fishing waters, a boule court, jogging trails for those with running legs as well as shops and restaurants.

If you are traveling with your own accommodation - caravan, motorhome or tent - there is plenty of space to set up your equipment! The campsite offers nice service buildings where there is access to washrooms, showers, toilets and latrine emptying. Simple cooking facilities are also available in the form of a hotplate for those who need it.

Here you get an experience close to nature with activities for the whole family.

Next to Alfta Camping you will first and foremost find the fine folk park, Forsparken. A folk park where various activities are organized during the summer. Here you can experience everything from dog shows, dancing, entertainment and much more. You will also find two fine sports facilities: Alfta Ishall and Alfta Tennishall.

Alfta Camping is located in Ovanåker municipality. Here you will find most things within a short distance and something for both young and old. Here you will also find Edsbyn where you can try a bear safari. Here you can even rent your own bear hide, eat reindeer meat in a fire pallet hut, listen to one of the guides' stories about nature and visit a real bear hide. The guides in this area are well experienced with over 15 years of experience working with these wild and majestic animals.

Alfta and Edsbyn are also home to some of Sweden's best fishing waters. The fine fishing areas offer fishing for most people and you can expect pike perch, pike, perch and trout on the hook. Another exciting activity to do during your stay at Alfta Camping is to try gold, crystal and mineral hunting. Here you can search for gold, rock crystals and other minerals together with the knowledgeable guides. Gold panning is an adventure appreciated by the whole family!

For the hiking individual, several trails are offered in the vicinity of Alfta Camping. Ovanåker municipality offers fantastic trails with beautiful nature and with many opportunities for both exercise and recreation. One of the most famous trails is the pilgrimage trail, which dates back to the 1100s. Among other things, it is said that St. Birgitta walked the trail in the 14th century. This is an easy hike that takes place mostly in dense forest terrain. You hike a total of 40 km along the mountains next to Lake Mållången with a mile-wide beautiful view. With a bit of luck, you'll see moose, bears or even golden eagles!

The reception at Alfta Camping is open and manned between 09:00-21:00. If you want to check in during other times, you should contact us! Check-out is before 12:00 on the day of departure.
